As I completed my silver jewelry project during my studies toward a degree from the University of Minnesota, my love of the arts was confirmed and focused.  I expanded this love through many workshops by national artists and by studying at the Corning Museum School of Glass in Corning, New York.

Each jewelry piece is created using a unique combination of colors and textures chosen for interest and eye appeal. The techniques I use vary from kiln-firing shapes of glass; torch-working glass into one-of-a-kind centerpieces; shaping, hammering, and hand-sculpting silver and gold wire; to hand-stitching various beads.

My kiln-fired decorative and functional glass pieces are created using a variety of warm glass techniques. My color palate ranges from stark to sublime, and my designs from traditional to eclectic. I continue to experiment and expand my horizons as my work continues to evolve.

My inspiration comes from my imagination and life experiences including travel to exotic places, quiet walks on the beach, witnessing an incredible sunset or rummaging through an antique shop. I develop my ideas through a series of sketches. From these sketches I create the centerpieces. The remaining components are fashioned and added to complete the piece and to achieve the desired look. My greatest pleasure comes from developing unique pieces where my creativity is allowed to flow and no boundaries prevail.
